Biography:

In an age when the music scene is clouded with moderately talented artists; gospel recording saxophonist, Carolyn Elaine, is proving to be a much needed breath of fresh air. In a style that is uniquely hers, she makes music that is at once inspiring, elegant, and above all anointed. She has repeatedly wowed listeners by the depth of her skill and finesse. While Carolyn Elaine possesses the talent to thrive in multiple genres she is resolute in her desire to be a true gospel artist. She maintains that she is at her core “a worshipper” and as such seeks to use her music to give praise to God who has so liberally gifted her. Carolyn, a native of California, began her foray into the music world at a young age. She began her formal music training at the tender age of twelve, taking advantage of her grade schools music programs. After which she studied under the tutelage of the late Thomas Crew, a professional organist. Mr. Crew introduced her to the fundamental concepts of ear training, music theory, and improvisation. Although she has over 30 years of musical experience to her credit, she is never one to settle and remains to this day in pursuit of greater mastery of the saxophone. She has immediate plans to continue her study of music at the graduate level. Her inherent raw talent combined with her vast and ever increasing knowledge of her craft leads her to create music that is nothing short of extraordinary. Although Carolyn Elaine is a relative newcomer to the recording industry – her debut project is set for release in early 2011- her talent has not gone unnoticed. Her music can be heard over radio stations across America including stations in Missouri, Louisiana, Michigan, California, and Tennessee. Her music has even captured international attention with many of her songs being played on radio stations in London, England and across the UK. In addition, she graced the October 2009 cover of Gospel Synergy Magazine and was a featured artist in the article entitled “Gospel Jazz Musicians Across America.” With undeniable talent, astounding adeptness, and an unwavering devotion to God, Carolyn Elaine is poised to take the industry by storm. Countless individuals have been touched by her music and it is evident that she will soon bring her music and message to countless more.
